Feedback Requested on Planning Task Force Final Reports
November 7, 2011
As you are well aware, the college has engaged in an intensive planning process for the last 18 months in preparation for developing our new strategic plan. The task force final reports have been submitted, and the Planning Steering Committee is currently reviewing each report to pull out strategic objectives for the plan. The committee would like feedback from the community on these task force reports, focusing on 3 guiding questions for each:
- What 2-3 things in this report resonate with you, or seem to be themes the College should address moving forward in the planning process?
- What, if anything, do you think is missing?
- Are there any other comments you'd like to share?
There are two ways that you can provide feedback on any reports that interest you: in person, or online.
Provide feedback in person: The ASC Board will host two meetings in November where you can come to discuss the reports in person. We will have board members there to lead discussions on 5 different reports at each meeting; you will be able to move between groups if you wish to discuss more than one report. These will be held at the following days and times:
Thursday, November 3rd from 12-1pm in Fowler 112, which will include
- Environmental Stewardship
- Global Citizenship
- Community Engagement
- The Arts
Thursday, November 17 from 12-1pm in Fowler 112, which will include
- Undergraduate Research
- Academic Commons
- Career Development
- Enrollment Management
- Residential College
Provide feedback online: We have set up pages within our site on Oxypedia here. You'll find one page per task force, and you can provide feedback by adding comments directly to the task force page. The pages for online feedback will be open through November 23rd, and we'll compile the results for the Planning Steering Committee by the end of the month.
Your feedback and perspective are an important part of this planning process, and we encourage you to participate, especially on task force reports that tackled topics near and dear to your heart. If you have any comments or questions about this process, please don't hesitate to ask one of the ASC Board members.
Warmly,Lisa Spencer and Beatrice Gonzales, on behalf of your ASC Board
