Application Requirements
Here’s what you need to do:
Complete the Common App and Oxy supplement.*
*$60 application fee or fee waiver required.
Ask your counselor to send:
an official transcript
a Secondary School Report and/or counselor recommendation
a Midyear Report after your first term of senior year
Request two letters of recommendation from teachers (in core academic subjects). Ideally, we’d like letters from 10th to 12th grade classes.
Report your standardized test scores. We accept the ACT or SAT. (SAT Subject Tests are optional.)
Consider Early Decision if Oxy’s your top choice. Then you’ll need to complete a binding Early Decision Agreement (available on the Common App).
And, there are a few extra steps for transfer and international students.
