Getting In

So you’ve decided that Oxy is the place for you. What else do you need to know?

Oxy students come from everywhere. From the East Coast to India, the South to South America, and all along the Pacific Ocean, we represent an uncommonly diverse range of backgrounds, and we’re proud of that. So what do we all have in common?

For starters, we’re pretty smart. We take tough classes, work hard in school, and get good grades. Many of us have long been involved in service, dance, sports, or cultural activities—and quite a few of us have found a way to do it all. We’re an active bunch, and as anyone in Admission will tell you, Oxy seeks out the adventurous and intellectually curious.

When you apply, let your personality shine. We’re a mixed bag of creative and analytical types, with interests varying from Mandarin to rugby, youth mentoring to musicals. Consider what you’re passionate about, and tell us. Be yourself.

Whether you are coming straight out of high school or want to transfer here, coming from nearby or really far away, we want you to feel as at home at Oxy as we do.
