All of your coursework in Fall semester will be taken with your CES peers.
Together you will complete Biology of California (Bio 106), Physical Geology (Geo 105), Principles of Economics (Econ 101), and the California Environment Semester Writing Seminar (CSP 1 or CSP 2) for a total of 16 units.
The California Environmental Semester is a great way to begin your college career, affording you the opportunity to fulfill three requirements for graduation (two Core Sciences, a CSP writing requirement) and required courses for seven programs of study: Biology, Economics, Environmental Science, Geology, Politics, Diplomacy & World Affairs, and Urban & Environmental Policy. Beyond these programs, CES students excel in a wide variety of majors and college activities from the theater stage to the playing fields to student government.
We are committed to accommodating students regardless of physical ability or prior experience; field trip expenses will be paid by the College. CES is open only to first-year students.
