This weekend there is tons to do on campus to celebrate Homecoming at Oxy! While the Homecoming website has a full on schedule of everything there is for alumni and students, there are a few things we wanted to make sure we highlighted as well. Make sure you bust out your best BLACK and ORANGE garb and get ready to Rooaaar your way through this annual Oxy tradition. Aside from these events...clubs will be out all weekend with La Encina Yearbook selling books and the Dance Team painting faces and raffling off prizes.
Annual Car Parade through the Quad
Friday afternoon (teams/clubs can also walk, ride bikes, dress up or make a float) Staging and decorating area: Keck parking lot 12:00p Parade and Judging area: Quad 12:30p Winner gets to park decorated car (or hang sign) in Jack Kemp Stadium for HC game and bragging rights! Judges currently registered include:- Tim Chang (Asst Dean)
- Mary Grogan (Director of Master Calendar)
- Frank Lynch (Math Professor)
Campus wide Pep Rally
Friday Night 9:30p Start in Rush Gym, open to all students, parents, faculty and staff, FREE
We hope for most people to come early and cheer on Volleyball!
BLACK OUT, we are asking everyone to attend pep rally/all games this weekend dressed in BLACK:
- Men's Water Polo 11:00a & 2:00p
- Football 1:00p
- Women's Soccer 7:00p
FREE SWAG from Bookstore, Athletics Department and gift certificates from local businesses!
Oh...and don't forget that Saturday night at 9pm is comedy by the Upright Citizen's Brigade Touring Co....but more on that later.
And isn't there some sort of music thing on Monday?? I could be wrong though.
