Where to go to get your big @$# coat or gator shoes

Oxy students, you have style, there is no doubt about it. With SpringFest right around the corner, you are going to want to look your best. Since we don't have fashion trucks to park along side the food trucks, I found a few great places where you can get your vintage and second-hand threads to put together your look for the big day.

This is a really great spot walking distance from campus specializing in women’s clothing. They carry items that are a little on the pricier side of the spectrum, but you can check out some of their style on their online product catalog. I would definitely stop by though, next time you are wandering by though. You never know what you might find. Goodwill

One of the most commonly used names in second-hand shopping, Goodwill gets items from all over the country and spreads them among their stores. There are quite a few in the northeast LA area, but the closest to us is right here in Eagle Rock. You can also find three others in Glendale and Pasadena and many more across the city.

I’m continually surprised when I ask someone where they got a great outfit how many times people reply with at least one item from here. They have great selection and their work benefits the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. Similar to other thrift stores, they have a wide range of second hand items for you to choose from. There are also several different locations around the city in case the one on San Fernando doesn’t have exactly what you are looking for.

Rose Bowl Flea Market

While not in time for the concert, the Rose Bowl Flea Market offers a wide variety of items (not just clothing.) They charge $8 to get in but boast over 2,000 vendors at the flea market at 20,000 shoppers. If nothing else, it might make a great day of people watching along with your bargain hunting.
