What could be hidden near Burkus Hall?
Familiar places with hidden treasures
Hello Oxy! One night this past summer my friends and I decided to look for the so called “hidden box” in the park. We did find that box but more importantly we also found an exciting adventure activity that encompassed almost every outing we went on after that night. We found Geocaching. It’s an amazing activity that you use GPS or traditional coordinates to find a “cache” and log in your name that you found it. The caches may include knickknacks that you trade or contribute to for future geocachers to find. However the thrill is in the hunt to find the cache! Geocaches are found everywhere and for those of you studying abroad this includes you too. For those of you staying on campus geocaching makes every outing a little more exciting. You just turn on the app to see where the closest cache is and race to find it first. Remember to always be sly when you do it, there are different levels of difficulty and many are high level sleuth caches. So adventure seekers and mystery solvers alike get ready to learn the lingo and go on exciting outdoor hunts. There may even be one close to campus… So I recommend downloading the Geocache app and joining the adventure!
