21 Day Weeks
It's been so busy recently I can't even remember the last time I posted. Just had my first midterm, in East Asian Survey! It's a 100 level history class, something I've never experienced before (it's been 200 level since day one for me!). I was surprised to receive, not only a study guide, but only 1 essay question. To give some perspective, my last history midterm covered 1,000 years of Chinese history, had no study guide, and was five ID's and three essays.
Ah, the joys of non-science or DWA intro-level classes! (I have experienced the science, and as I am not a science person, it did not go well. I have no personal experience with DWA, but many friends rage-quit after 101 so...)
But, even freaking out over midterms and papers (of which I have many) is kinda fun here. The high school I went to didn't really go in for studying. In fact, I probably spent less than two hours on homework a night, so when I came here I was extremely worried I was going to die under the sheer force of work I expected to be doing. Honestly though, I have plenty of time to procrastinate and hang out with friends if I feel like it. Not that I do (I'm one of those, "get everything done the weekend before" types) but it's possible. I mean, I still find time to watch TV.
Today is my friend's 21st birthday, and we are celebrating in true B-Y (my dorm) style! ...by eating cake and watching Zombieland! I'm rather excited, so, ta-ta for now! Two midterms to go, then smooth sailing until finals.
