FEAST and the student-run garden

Every Saturday myself and cohort of students dedicated to enjoying, studying, and discussing the connection between our food and the environment meet. We gather to garden amongst hundred year old oaks and a young flock of chickens. The club is called FEAST (Food, Energy and Sustainability Team) and ensures the life and health of our bountiful chickens, rich compost piles, and fecund vegetable beds. The garden has given me the ability to unwind and reconnect with nature while staying in the lively and urban city of Los Angeles.
