A Few Rounds of Shameless Self Promotion
Blogger: Maddy Farkas
Oh, hello. Didn’t see you come in. Welcome to my humble abode, aka Installation Numero 16 of my blog posts. Can you believe we’re already past puberty? Time is truly amazing. Are you all getting sick of me yet? Do you even read these? Who knows? To be honest, I’m struggling to figure out what to write about this time ‘round. Mainly because I’m sick of writing about myself, and you all probably remember how busy I am, so what more is there to say? I guess strap in for a few rounds of shameless self-promotion.
1. Colleges Against Cancer is probably my favorite club to be a part of on campus. You will mainly see us planning Relay For Life in the spring, but right now we are raising money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I’m sure you’ve seen us on the quad selling our bright pink tank tops (that I may or may not have designed), but if not please keep your eyes peeled and come buy one! All proceeds go directly to the American Cancer Society, and who doesn’t look great in neon pink, am I right? They’re only $10 and you can charge to your student account! So, like, shout-out to our parents’ bank accounts.
2. As one of our Communications Interns at the Office of Admissions, my project this semester has been to create videos introducing you all to our wonderful tour guides on campus! The first four videos were just published and you should check them out because I spent a lot of time on them and I deserve to feel loved.
3. Do you like good music? Do you like rants about the state of public restrooms? Do you own a computer and are a bit of a...night owl???? (Oooh spooky!) Tune into koxyradio.com every Monday night at to hear my roommate Soraya and I take over the cybersphere airwaves with our radio show, 1% Evil 99% Hot Gas. And thanks to our current fans, namely our parents.
Thanks for sticking with me through that. Everything else in life is going swell. Been keeping myself too busy, as per usual, but still finding time to sleep in or watch nine seasons of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia or go on a nice, breezy hike that definitely did not leave me sore for six days. I just started my winter internship search, so stick around for my post next month where I will most likely be psychoanalyzing all of my life choices. Stay golden, y’all.
