Greetings, earthlings!

Hey everyone! My name is Tyler and I am currently a first-year at Oxy. I hail from the San Fernando Valley (Granada Hills to be exact) and I've lived in Los Angeles my entire life. Though I'm still pretty close to home, I'm trying to have the full independent college experience. In my free time I like to travel, read the news (news junkies, unite!), blog, and go to concerts. I also love participating in volunteer projects and political activism, something I have in common with a lot of folks here at Oxy. I plan on majoring in Politics with a minor in either CTSJ (Critical Theory & Social Justice) or Film & Media Studies. Although I'm pretty sure what I want to major in, I'm also interested in taking a variety of courses in other subjects so I can expand my horizons. I've just finished my first couple of months here at Oxy, and it already feels like home. I've joined some great clubs (like QSA and Vote for Equality), met some awesome friends, and eaten waaaaay too much in one sitting at the Marketplace. I'm looking forward to sharing my Oxy adventures and giving you all a glimpse of the many opportunities Oxy has to offer!
