Hey, I'm Noah!
Hi, my name is Noah Tovares. I'm a senior from Belmont, Massachusetts - a suburb of Boston. I have been involved in many activities during my four year here at Oxy. As a freshman I happened to hear the Glee Club perform and decided that even though I had never sang in a choir before I had to audition for the Glee Club. Turns out that was one of the best decisions of my life. Once a member of the Glee Club, I auditioned to be a member of the male a cappella group Cadence. I was accepted and two years later took over as director. During my four years I have also had several jobs. I work for the Office of Admission helping out with social media, and I also work for the Physics Department. One of my physics related jobs is being an AMP tutor. Every week I make a worksheet that helps students in lower lever physics practice and reinforce the concepts they are learning in class. My other physics related job is helping high school students from across that state learn about the wonders of solar power and engineering. Through a series of workshops, other students and I help these high school students design and build full-size solar-powered boats that they race at the end of the year. As you can probably guess ... I'm a physics major. My blog posts will be able music, work, life in LA, and of course ... physics. I hope you enjoy my posts!
