Interesting Things! Readdddd ittttt =)

Softball: So I got here last Sunday, January 15th, and I was literally the only one in my dorm - I even beat the RAs!!! It was honestly a little bit creepy but I wasn't in my room much anyway because I was at softball practice! We had two a day practices all week - one in the morning, which was focused on defense, and one in the afternoon which, as you may have guessed, was focused on offense. Practices are really intense this year because we only have 12 girls, so there's basically one player per position with only 3 substitutes! Our season starts really soon - our first two games are like February 7th, I'm kinda scared! hah but it will be fun =) Classes: This semester I'm focusing entirely on my major and minor, Psychology and Economics respectively. For my econ minor I'm Calculus 110 (Intro) and Economic Development which seems really interesting. For my psych major I'm taking Health Psychology which I'm pretty excited for, and Statistics in Psychology which should be hard but the professor is really good! I am pretty sure that all of my professors this semester are going to be awesome :) Social: There seems to be a lot of new faces on campus right now, because people just got back from studying abroad! Also we only have a few more weeks until Greek Recruitment (in case you've forgotten I'm in Theta, a sorority here on campus!). Spring recruitment is a lot more intense then Fall, because First Years are allowed to rush! Can't wait to see who decides to join Greek life! =)

Other: I'm also currently working on my study abroad application! I hope to go abroad next Fall - here's a link to Oxy's abroad program, you can go on trips to almost anywhere you can think of!!! Anywho, I'm off to work on a bit of first-day homework. Hope everyone's feeling a little bit less stressed now that college apps are done!!! =) -- Lisa
