Hi =] My name is Marisha Thakker and I'm (potentially) an urban and environmental policy major in the class of 2014. I'm from India, and despite being 8000 miles from home, Oxy makes me feel welcome. I'm creative and love dancing, music and literature. I've only been here a few months and am already involved in a large amount of environmental initiatives on campus. Oxy was love at first sight for me. (Yes, I'm a romantic, too.)  I miss home, but only because I can't find good Indian food around here- I'm thinking of starting an Indian cookout club soon, so that'll be covered. I hope my entries give you an international perspective on campus life [if not, I promise an interesting read =p) I adore cooking, so watch out for Indian recipes on my posts!
