Spring Fever
Blogger: Madi Tsuji
Hi blog readers,
Spring is in full swing here on campus. It's hot pretty much every day, projects and papers are piling up (if I am never heard from again after next week, you can blame my Kinesiology class), and everybody is itching for summer. People are always sprawled out on the grass and finding prime benches in the quad has become a sport (probably the only sport I'm good enough to make varsity on). I love spring!!
What's happened since my latest post? My awesome sister COMMITTED to Oxy!! She will be here in the fall, and since I'm going abroad I'm going to miss all of her first semester which I am so so sad about. I'm so proud of her for working hard and getting in, and I'm real excited to spend the next couple of years with her at Oxy.
Meanwhile, at Alpha, PC Spring 2012 is initiating tomorrow night. I am so proud of my little! So weird to think that we met only a few months ago, because she's the absolute greatest and I'm so excited for her and all the other pledge babies to be active. We also just had elections, which means I am no longer secretary of my sorority. I will be representing Alpha at Greek Council upon my return from Rome though!
Founder's Day is also tomorrow! For those of you that may be on campus tomorrow, it definitely won't be your average campus visit because there is going to be a Ferris wheel smack dab in the middle of the quad. Seriously.
A lot of my friends went to Coachella last weekend, and some more are going this weekend. Needless to say I am beyond jealous and I am currently making my way through the sets of my favorite artists that performed on YouTube. Also, spoiler alert, but Tupac is actually alive. I know, I couldn't believe it either! If you're a music fan, COME TO OXY. Every single artist in the world comes through LA at some point during the year, and obviously the proximity to Coachella is a great advantage.
Other things on my mind right now: AHHHHHH seniors graduate so soon, AHHHHHHH I graduate so soon (overreaction), who was better at Coachella SHM or Kaskade?, Kinesiology may truly be the death of me, AHHHHHHH I'm going to Rome so soon, AHHHHHH it's almost 1 in the morning (grandma status), I'm really excited to wear the cutest sundress ever tomorrow (but I can't post a picture because I'm the only girl on campus wearing this dress and I want to keep it that way), I need sleep desperately.
Have I rambled enough? Congratulations to all y'all that got in Regular Decision, I hope you make the right choices for yourselves. DO YOU.
Love you all hugs and kisses xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo forever,
Madi
