Campus Conversations
Spring Semester Begins...
The Friday right before returning to campus I ended up going to the Los Angeles Clippers game with a few friends from work. Although I call myself a Los Angeles Lakers fan, it was really a good time (up until the end when Kevin Love of the Minnesota Timberwolves, hit the game winning jumper). I am a fan of basketball nonetheless so I had a great time regardless. I got back to campus last weekend. It was great seeing all the people who live in my dorm again and catching up with all my friends about how their break went. There are also quite a bit of new faces on campus because of the new transfers and the students returning from studying abroad. Surprisingly after being back for a few days, it’s pretty easy to get back in the swing of things and readjust from the “home life.” The first week of classes was pretty good. I only have classes on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. My earliest class is 11:30. This schedule works better for me, because I have never really been a morning person. Anyway, all of my professors seem friendly. Besides that it’s always a good feeling when you walk into a class and are able to recognize a few familiar faces. Luckily I know at least 4 or 5 people in all of my classes. I can already tell that KIN104 (Introduction to Kinesiology) is going to be my favorite class this semester. All the material (so far) seems pretty interesting and relevant to everyday living. I’ll be sure to update how this class progresses. Last night Oxy’s men and women basketball teams had home games. Both teams won. (Additionally, the swimming and diving teams won their meet against Cal-Tech earlier in the day.) The student attendance was quite good. It was a good to see the student body together to support the athletic teams. Until next time… [gallery columns="4"]
