Time is FLYING!
Blogger: Lisa Gilliland
Hello readers! Don't worry, I haven't caught a rare disease or fallen off of the earth, although it may seem like I have judging by my lack of posting! So, here's my excuse for not posting in a while: This past weekend we had our last four softball games. Our last two home games were on Friday, which also happened to be the schools 125th anniversary and the Founders Day celebration!
As you've probably heard or seen, the school had a big carnival to celebrate the anniversary, which unfortunately I missed out on because I was too busy playing 2nd base!
The carnival had games, balloon animal makers (do they have a specific name?) face painters, henna artists, and of course a FERRIS WHEEL.
On Saturday we played our final two games away at Whittier (and not to to
ot my own horn or anything, but I'd say it was my best game of the season!). Ending a season is always bitter sweet, but this time it may have been more sweet - check out the picture below to see why!
Anyway, now that softball is over I've been trying to use my time efficiently by meeting with professors, going to the gym, and even cleaning my room! Although I'm also treating myself to a night off this Thursday, for Six Flags' College night!!! Oxy is providing tickets to students for just $27 for complete access to the park from 6-12 at night! And only college students can go! I'm going with a group of Thetas and I'm really pumped!
Another thing I have more time for now is homework. With that said, I need to go finish my Econ lab!!! But I promise I will use this newfound time to blog more!!!
Until next time,
-- Lisa G =)
