A Very Busy Month

Last weekend was our first admitted students weekend together with our Multicultural visit program. I now find myself realizing how busy the months of April is. This is shocking because it makes me aware of how little school we have left. There is only about 2 weeks of school left. This is both a frightening and amazing realization. This year seems to have dragged on so long, but now realizing how little time is left it feels like it has really flown by. I have to say I was able to do a lot of fun things in LA this semester like going to Little Tokyo to see the Japanese American National Museum, going with my sister to Disneyland for the first time, and getting to enjoy a rugby spring break staycation on campus. It seems like not so long ago I was trying to sign up for my five classes this semester and starting the rugby season. Now I have amazed myself by almost completing all these classes and while the rugby season is over I have made life long friends and possibly found a path to the Olympics.
Now while things are still rapping up, it is also time to start looking forward to the summer and senior year. In doing so, I have started applying for internships and work opportunities during the summer. One of the most interesting opportunities Oxy has made me aware of came from one of our awesome rugby coaches. We now will be trying to add an exchange trip to New Zealand that is centered around receiving excellent rugby training both on and off the field. This is a completely new experience to add to oxy and one that I will be applying to in the coming weeks as it is one of the first abroad programs that has both a physical and mental component to the program. While I am excited and somewhat nervous for what the future holds, but with the future lies opportunity, and I am super excited to see what opportunities this summer and senior year have to offer.
