White Panda performs at Oxy
Blogger: Amber Thai
Hi again,
Happy November! Registration for Spring semester classes is tomorrow and Thanksgiving break is getting closer and closer.
Last night, the Oxy Programming Board hosted “Pandemic feat. The White Panda and Brenton Duvall and Oxy’s Own Stephen Duvall” which was held on the Thorne Patio from 9:30pm to 1:30am. This was a nice break from the midterms and work that many students have been swamped with. That’s another signal that tells us that we’re halfway done with the semester!
My friends and I have also been celebrating a lot of October birthdays. First came my friend Tyler’s, then Stephanie’s and then mine. I had an Organic Chemistry exam the day after my birthday, so I spent the day studying. The good thing was that Halloween was that following Wednesday so my friends and I had a lot of fun then and celebrated the temporary end of a long stream of work.
As of now, I’m at Swork with my friend Abigail trying to get some work done. I’ve been thinking about declaring Biology as my major with a Pre-Med emphasis. It scares me a little to think that I am considering applying to medical school in the near future because the path in doing so is difficult. However, I have to remember what my mom always tells me, which is that everything gets harder each year and it’s best to try to get through it one step at a time and in the best way possible. Thinking about my future makes me anxious, but it also helps me look forward to all of the memories and opportunities that are to be made and experienced. So to the high school seniors that may be reading this, get through those college applications because they’re just a part of a check list that complete that will open you up to a new – and fun, I promise – chapter in your life!
Best wishes to everyone,
Amber
