Winter Break 2011-2012

Hi everybody! I apologize for not having posted at all this winter break. However, you don't know this, but you are actually thanking me, because had I posted it would have gone something like: work work work sleep work work sleep work sleep sleep work... etc. Very boring. I spent this break as I spend most breaks: waitressing. It's actually pretty fun and definitely good money, but the long hours on your feet get VERY long when working 40 hours a week. Other than my job, I spent a lot of time shopping and Netflixing and getting coffee with girlfriends. Things I've picked up this break include a few OPI nail polishes (is anybody surprised... no) and this monster of a chair (literally, it's called the Monster Butterfly chair): My roommate is pretty excited. We had this gorgeous sunset in Seattle last night. I didn't manage to take a picture because I unfortunately was stuck in my glass prison (my restaurant) but here is one taken by Katherine Barnett Badders originally posted by the Seattle PI online: I tend to complain about how darn cold and rainy Seattle is, but then my city does something like this and I can't help but fall in love again. I'm definitely ready to get back to school. I miss the routine of being in classes and having things going on all the time, I miss my res hall (Erdman, you are too good to me), and most of all I miss my friends. I have a pretty exciting semester coming up so stay tuned for posts about new classes, Alpha Lambda Phi Alpha, my on-campus job in the Communications department, Her Campus Oxy, and the adventures my friends and I will be having!
