Spaghetti squash was not well received as a gf alternative, so we scrapped the idea.This is an example of how Oxy's very own Marketplace economy works - you don't buy it, we won't sell it!
"I loved the mango-lime vinaigrette that was at the salad bar at the beginning of the year but haven't seen it since. Any chance of it returning?
We make this dressing ourselves, but not usually in the quantity required for the Salad Bar. While it's possible the Mango-Lime Vinaigrette may show up on the Salad Bar from time to time, you are more likely to find it on some of our specialty salads at the Deli Station.

Cream Soda is no longer available through our suppliers. Vanilla Coke, along with Fresca, Barqs and Fanta should return to the Cooler, once we settle a compliance issue with Coca-Cola distributing.
"I REALLY LOVE the creamy soups you make like cream of cauliflower and cream of roasted zucchini!! How often do you make these? Like every couple weeks or something?"
It really depends on the season, and lucky for you, we make more cream soups in the late fall, winter and early spring! Coming up next week:

The "Merchandizer" is the two glass-door refrigerator where the bottled beverages are stocked. If you ever don't find the whole milk there, please ask at the cashier stand and we will get some for you.
"About baked things: I realize that it's more cost efficient to lump the gluten free and vegan needs all into one baked thing, but do you ever make something thats just gluten free? I would like that!"I
The Bakers work really hard to keep up with all the demand for their yummy treats. They can't make much from scratch given their work load, so they make the specialty baked goods from mixes that are both gluten free and vegan. For GF baked goods that are not vegan, we suggest you try the WOW Cookies, available in the packaged goods section.
(Tiger Cooler)"I think you should stock the new brands of cheese sticks you've been trying out (the fatter ones that are lighter in color and the long skinny ones) over the old ones (or at least more often). They are much better! And seeing some more ambitious cooler specials as the year goes on and would be great. Mediterranean pasta (or any kind of pasta) or anything else that is more different than the normal cooler offerings helps to break up the routine. I know its more manpower intensive but its worth it! Thanks so much for what you do!"
We haven't intentionally changed our Mozzarella sticks, but the supplier substituted an Italian-seasoned variety - glad you liked them! Regarding the specials - menus are based on several factors, including the staff we have available. We have student positions that have still not been filled on Friday and Saturday nights, limiting how much labor we can put into the specials. Over the past five weekends, we have done two baked pasta specials as well as offering pasta on Saturdays after the football team has gone through. There will be more to come. Thanks for the suggestions, we'll keep them in mind for when we have more labor (and if you'd like a job, please contact Robert Starec!)

"On the days where you put out pasta and sauce could you pleeeease put out pesto as well.
Generally we stick to Marinara (vegan/gf) and Bolognaise because we usually only have space for two sauces. But we'll see about rotating the pesto occasionally for the Bolognaise (meat) sauce.
