Goldstein's Bagel Bakery was started in 1989 by the Goldstein family, and continues to be family owned and operated today. Michael Goldstein was inspired to open a bagel shop after moving from Monterey, CA to the San Gabriel Valley, and discovering that there was no place for him to buy his favorite breakfast item. Michael and his wife Bridget spent a year learning how to make traditional New York bagels (from their favorite shop in Monterey) and opened their first store in a former wine shop at the corner of Colorado and Delacey in Old Pasadena.

Seattle's Best Coffee had its start in 1970 when its founder Dave Stewart partnered with his brother to open the Wet Whisker ice cream and coffee shop on Whidbey Island off of Washington's mainland. Originally roasting coffee beans in a 12-pound roasted purchased from a Southern California peanut vendor, the Wet Whisker grew and expanded and eventually opened a shop at Pier 70 along Seattle's waterfront and numerous espresso bars. Superior Seafood was established in 1996 by Paul Di Girolomo. After working with another seafood company for many years, Paul decided to strike out on his own. Superior Seafood began as a small company selling fresh and frozen seafood to Gelson's Supermarkets, but they rapidly grew to be the only supplier of fresh seafood for Whole Foods Southern California, Nevada, and Arizona locations. Galasso’s Bakery was founded in 1968 as a single-room, family-run bakery. Over the years it has expanded and they now produce over 400 different bread items every day. Galasso’s delivers their bread and rolls fresh to Oxy daily. Galasso's Bakery buns are used with the hamburgers and hotdogs at the Grill Station in the Marketplace, and in the Cooler.

LA Specialty is a wholesale distributor of produce, dairy, and specialty foods. They provide the vital link between producers and consumers, allowing Oxy to purchase and serve items from local farms and producers. LA Specialty connects with farms within 200 miles of Oxy, and delivers fresh produce straight to our door. Every week, they put out the “Green Sheet,” a publication which features the best seasonal, local produce for our chefs to choose from. This tool helps us purchase produce that is in season and fresh. It also reduces the distance that produce has to travel before getting to Oxy. 

LA Specialty undertakes a variety of green initiatives to reduce their footprint, and make their operation more sustainable. United Natural Foods is a distributor of natural and certified organic food products. We receive organic juice, tea, pantry items (rice, peanut butter, flour, etc.), snacks, energy bars, and dairy products from United Natural. 

We also receive Organic Bacon and Beef from Organic Prairie through United Natural Foods. Organic Prairie is an independent cooperative of organic family farms. All animals are raised humanely, are certified organic, are hormone and antibiotic free, and are raised on a natural vegetarian diet.
