A New Space for the Needs of Today's Students
The Career Development Center eagerly anticipates the renovation of our space to better accommodate the needs of our students in a modern and centralized home for career discernment, pre-law and pre-health advising, and fellowship and national awards advising. The creation of a unified center offers an opportunity to deliver career services in a four-year discernment and exploration model, cultivate relationships with employers and organizations, and engage parents and alumni throughout the process.
The Center is strategically located on campus and will be equipped to handle the expanding needs of today's graduates as they translate their skills to the marketplace. The newly designed center will feature a networking patio, a high-tech seminar room, an open reception area for activity and collaboration, and a suite of offices and interview rooms ideal for career counseling and employer recruitment. With these new resources, students will find themselves in a welcoming and inspiring space surrounded by a staff who offer the best possible support for their professional futures.
Our capital campaign is well underway, with ambitions to break ground by spring 2014. Shelby Radcliffe, Vice President for Institutional Advancement, and Jim Wheat, Director of Special Gifts and Parent Relations, are managing this innovative $2-million project. Individuals and corporations who have a high interest in supporting our capital campaign efforts with gifts over $10,000 can begin a conversation via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com, or by calling 323.259.2644.
