The CDC strives to create partnerships with employers who are committed to recruiting, retaining, and mentoring Occidental students and alumni.
The Career Development Center provides a variety of ways for employers to reach out and retain Occidental talent. Feel free to refer to our community page to find information on our student profile and demographics.
Recruit On Campus
Employers are encouraged to visit Occidental to speak directly with students about available jobs and internship with your organization. To find out about opportunities to come to campus, please contact Courtney Stricklin, the Assistant Director of Employer Relations, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Ms. Stricklin will arrange your facility needs and will discuss related fees. Our recruitment season for the academic year is as follows:
Fall 2014: September 9th-November 22nd
Spring 2015: February 3rd-April 11th
Post Employment and Internship Listings
Please upload all your job opportunities into our online recruiting system, TIGERlink. This excellent tool allows employers to manage listings and application review. Partner with Us
The CDC is committed to fostering long-term partnerships with our employers. Whether or not you are currently recruiting in your organizations, we welcome you to campus.
The CDC is committed to providing students and alumni with information on employment opportunities. In line with the college’s values of sustainability and conservation the CDC asks for the support of our employer partners to maintain these resources digitally.
Recruiters are encouraged to bring physical copies of fliers with them for on-campus events including information sessions, drop-in hours, industry nights, etc. The CDC will not keep any remaining materials following these campus visits. The CDC will keep only digital copies of recruitment materials, saved in our shared drive to be passed along to interested students via email or printed in the office during counseling appointments. If a recruiter does not have a digital copy of these materials CDC staff will gladly scan physical fliers to create a digital version for our records. Materials mailed to the CDC will not be kept and senders will be contacted with a copy of our policy for future reference.
For policies on hiring, recruiting, and workplace environment, please view our Policy section on our site.
