Give a Career Talk

Students love to hear how alumni are faring in "the real world", especially graduates from their major.  Let us know if you're interested in speaking to students about your career path and how your education has applied to your post-Oxy endeavors.

Volunteer to participate on an Industry Panel

The Career Development Center sponsors Industry Panels on a rotating basis. If you love what you do, we would love for you to participate on a panel.

Participate in our job shadowing program, Walk In My Shoes (WIMS)

The CDC sponsors an externship program called Walk in my Shoes or WIMS. As one of our most popular programs, many students seek to shadow employers on the job for a day in a variety of fields. Please consider hosting a student(s) at your work site for one day. Some of our long-term employer partners have utilized this program as a means to vet a potential candidate for an internship or full-time opening.

Conduct a workshop

If you have expertise in a topic relevant to students' college or transition experience and are willing to present, please contact the CDC. Examples of relevant topics include understanding corporate culture, building a successful resume, and learning how to become a successful intern.

Interview with a Tiger

The CDC hosts an annual mock interviewing program in which employer and alumni volunteers conduct practice student interviews and provide feedback.  This program is held in the Spring, let us know if you're inerested in taking part.

Behind the Scenes

If you would like to introduce your company, maintain your presence on campus or connect with students, consider hosting a group of students to tour your organization.  Please contact our Assistant Director for Employer Relations, Courtney Stricklin at cstricklin@oxy.edu to schedule a student visit.
