We can guide you as to where to start your employment search, whether it's for part-time, temporary, summer or post-graduate positions.
The CDC is available to assist in finding appropriate career opportunities throughout your time here at Oxy and upon graduation. Though placement is not a function of the CDC, there are many ways you can find assistance in locating a job. The more resources you utilize the better your chances of finding the best job for you. The CDC identifies and provides numerous resources to help in your search.
Employment Resources
TIGERlink
TIGERlink allows you to identify available full-time, part-time, summer and temporary jobs targeted to Occidental College students and alumni. Jobs and internships are added daily, so check often.
Community Employment Opportunities
Part-time positions off-campus, which include tutoring and childcare positions, are also available for students through the Career Development Center. If you are interested in these types of opportunities you may email us at careers@oxy.edu and ask to be added to the Community Employment distribution list to be notified of new positions.
Online Resources
The CDC strives to stay abreast of new and established online career and job search websites and provide them for our students and alumni. Please visit the Resources & Links page to peruse the latest in your field or area of interest.
On-Campus Positions and Work Study
Part-time positions and work study on-campus are handled by the Office of Human Resources.
