For Professionals

Walk In My Shoes (WIMS) and WIMS Away place students in 1:1 to 3:1 job shadowing experiences with alumni and community members.

We are always looking for career professionals to mentor student applicants by hosting them for a one day-long visit for WIMS, or a 2-3 day long shadow for WIMS Away. As an educational program, students prepare reflective essays and resumes, determine learning goals, and partake in pre-site training that allows them to successfully complete their shadow experience. 

Professionals will be invited to review students' resumes and essays, assign homework to help students prepare for the day, create an agenda that exposes students to the complexities of their job, and attend a celebratory post-site luncheon.
