"Equal parts inspiring and eye opening…"

As a second semester senior, I couldn’t be happier with my educational experience at Oxy. The emphasis placed on experiential learning and using Los Angeles as a classroom has helped me grow not only as a student, but as a person. By participating in the Career Development Center’s Internship Program this semester, I have continued my enjoyment of such Oxy opportunities and have gained numerous valuable experiences.

Through the CDC's Internship Program I spent this last semester as a research intern at Strategic Actions for a Just Economy. Strategic Actions for a Just Economy, also known as SAJE, is a South Los Angeles community-based organization that is involved in community issues related to, but not limited to economic justice, gentrification, and rental housing rights… it has been my time at SAJE that has encouraged me to look for similar career opportunities for my future… It was equal parts inspiring and eye opening…
