"Thanks to this Internship Program, I am getting the chance to work at the job I have always dreamed about."

I had such a wonderful internship experience last semester with BOP and Tiger Beat magazines (Laufer Media, Inc.) that I could not wait to continue interning there during the Spring 2012 semester… Under the mentorship of the company’s web editor, I acquired so much valuable knowledge that will help me tremendously in my future life endeavors… This demographic of preteen girls is one I especially love because I feel that I can use my writing and ideas to inspire them through stories about celebrities they admire, for example. My academic studies in psychology and education definitely come in handy in this area. On a similar note, it makes me feel so good to promote and support teenagers who have dreams they are working so hard to pursue. It’s inspiring… I [was] offered a job that I applied for [and] I am so excited to begin working with BOP and Tiger Beat as [an] Editorial Assistant. Thanks to this Internship Program, I am getting the chance to work at the job I have always dreamed about. I will take all of the skills I have obtained during my internship experience at Oxy and continue to build on them and learn new ones.
