Patricia Aufderheide to speak at Occidental
Dr. Patricia Aufderheide, Director of the Center for Social Media at American University, will close the Mellon Digital Scholarship Speaker Series presented by the Center for Digital Learning and Research at Occidental. Please come hear Patricia give a talk on her work on Fair Use at 7pm on Thursday, April 12th in Mosher 1. Patricia has been invited to help conclude our Digital Scholarship Symposium, featuring work done by faculty participants in our 2011 Mellon Digital Scholarship Institute, because her work developing fair use codes of best practices for remixers, educators, and librarians marks and important intervention into the culture of fear surrounding copyright law.
Refreshments will follow at the Center for Digital Learning and Research where you can further engage Patricia and get to know our Scholarship Technology team.
