Immunizations
Emmons Health Center provides some but not all vaccines that you may need if you are entering Oxy for the first time, or if you're planning to study or travel abroad.
Immunizations & the Affordable Care Act
It is understood that the following immunizations will be covered under a Student Health Insurance Plan without any cost sharing when administered at an in-network provider as long as it is a preventative service. However, if the immunization is performed as part of an administrative service (such as employment or for travel abroad) it is not covered by insurance and the student is responsible for full cost.
Emmons Health Center stocks the following vaccines (below). The associated prices* are what will be charged to the student's account if the vaccines are used for administrative or travel abroad purposes:
Hep A $95
Hep B $95
Hep A/B Combo $90
Tdap (tetanus, diptheria and pertusis) $75
HPV (covered under preventive care for females only) $160 each shot=3 shots total in series
Flu $15
MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) $85
Meningococcal $115
*Prices published here are subject to change. Always call ahead to confirm current prices: 323-259-2657.
