Practice with the Women's Rugby Team
Have you played Oxy Women's rugby but don't anymore? Would you still like to spend some time with the fabulous women's rugby team? Maybe even run some drills and play some touch?
Come join us! We really encourage you to come out and spend some time with some current ruggers and alumni ruggers. Our day is going to look something like this:

4:00 Touch Game
4:30 Contact game
We will be grabbing dinner as a team after practice at The Capri: 4604 Eagle Rock Blvd. They are having a fundraiser for the team there and if you can't make it to the practice we would at least love to see you come and grub with us!

T. Howard Foundation Internships Info Session
Paid internships for students of color in top media and entertainment companies!
T. Howard Foundation is a non-profit organization that partners with the multimedia and entertainment industry to place talented students of color in internships at top media companies. We were founded in 1994, have over 650 alumni of our program who were placed at over 70 host companies. Some of our host companies include HBO, Showtime, Discovery, DirecTV, Viacom, NBC Universal, DISH Network, and Time Warner Cable.
In addition to a PAID summer internship (at least $10/hour), students will receive a mentor for the summer, career coaching and professional development training, participate in a 2.5 day Orientation, network with executives, industry professionals, alumni and interns, and much more. Obama Biographer To Speak
Obama biographer David Maraniss will return to the scene of one of the key chapters in his critically acclaimed Barack Obama: The Story when he speaks about his presidential portrait in Thorne Hall.
The talk by the bestselling author and journalist -- just one week before the Nov. 6 election -- is free and open to the public. It will include a Q&A session and will be followed by a book signing session in the Thorne Hall lobby.
Maraniss, a Washington Post associate editor and fellow of the Society of American Historians, is the author of critically acclaimed and bestselling books on Bill Clinton, Vince Lombardi (which was turned into a Broadway musical), Vietnam and the sixties, Roberto Clemente, and the 1960 Rome Olympics.
He won the 1993 Pulitzer Prize for his coverage of Clinton, was part of the Post team that won the 2007 Pulitzer for coverage of the Virginia Tech tragedy, and has been a Pulitzer finalist on three other occasions.
