Seventy years ago in the midst of World War II, Thornton Wilder’s “groundbreaking satiric fantasy” premiered on Broadway with a cast including Talullah Bankhead and E.G. Marshall. The Skin of Our Teeth “follows the extraordinary Antrobus family down through the ages from the time of "The War," surviving flood, fire, pestilence, locusts, the ice age, the pox and the double feature, a dozen subsequent wars and as many depressions. Ultimately, they are the stuff of which heroes and buffoons are made. Their survival is a vividly theatrical testament of faith in humanity.”
"Wonderfully wise...A tremendously exciting and profound stage fable."-Herald Tribune

CPR/First Aid Training
The Pre-Health Student Association is hosting our CPR training/First-Aid Training!
It is a long event so be prepared, but you should be out with plenty of time to enjoy your Saturday night! We only have one instructor this year which means a maximum of 12 students can participate. We will have a first come first serve system so please email Adam Gutierrez (gutierreza@oxy.edu) by Wednesday November 28th! Make sure to include your ID number and class year, please. Adam
will let you know if you are one of the 12, if not, you will be put on the wait-list in case students have to drop for some reason. If you must drop, please do so at least 48 hours before the event so we can open spots on the wait list. NOTE: If you do not cancel 48 hours before/don't show up we will have to charge you regardless so please be timely! We are still working out funding with ASOC, but we are hoping to subsidize some of the costs. Currently, the price is $63 and will be charged to your student account, but in the past ASOC has funded us so we hope to reduce the price. We are still looking appropriate room for this event so we'll keep you posted once we have the 12 students signed up.
This is a great event to learn about what to do in case of an emergency and is useful for everyone. Completing this class will officially certify you in CPR/First Aid for employment purposes as well! We hope to see you there!
