Food Corps Office Hours
Emerging leaders teaching kids, building school gardens and connecting farm and school.
FoodCorps is a nationwide team of leaders that connects kids to real food and helps them grow up healthy. We do that by placing motivated leaders in limited-resource communities for a year of public service. Working under the direction of local partner organizations, we implement a three-ingredient recipe for healthy kids. Our Service Members:
Teach kids about what healthy food is and where it comes from
Build and tend school gardens
Bring high-quality local food into public school cafeterias
Come speak to a representative during open office hours at the Green Bean.

MLK Week kicks off with acclaimed artist and activist Byron Hurt.
In 2010, MSNBC's TheGrio.com named "Bwyond Beats and Rhymes" one of the "Top 10 Most Important African-American Themed Films of the Decade."
Co-sponsored by the Politics Department, Office of Community Engagement, Intercultural Community Center, Office of Student Life, Office of Religious and Spiritual Life, Office of Residential Education and Housing, the Remsen Bird Fund, the Food Studies Cluster and the Dean of Students Office.
