Writing for Television Workshop
with Sheila Callaghan
This 4-hour seminar will introduce playwrights with little-to-no TV experience to the process of developing original pilot ideas and pitches. It will cover aspects of the craft and the business of TV writing and its relationship to theatre writing. Topics include writer's room collaboration, script structure, the dreaded series pitch, and to spec or not to spec. Please come prepared to discuss a favorite scripted TV program.

David Pilling is the Asia editor of the Financial Times. He was previously Tokyo Bureau Chief for the FT from January 2002 to August 2008. His column ranges over business, investment, politics and economics.
He joined the FT in 1990. He has worked in London as an editor, in Chile and Argentina as a correspondent and covered the global pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.
