James Fallows - "Understanding Oxy's Obama"

National correspondent for The Atlantic, James Fallows has reported from around the world for more than 30 years, including most recently three years in China. His new book, China Airborne, was released by Pantheon in May, 2012. His recent books include Postcards from Tomorrow Square; Reports from China, Breaking News: How the Media Undermine American Democracy, and Blind int Baghdad: America's War in Iraq.

He and Deborah Fallows, a linguist and author of Dreaming in Chinese: Mandarin Lessons in Life, Love and Language are joint scholars in residence for the Wellington K. K. Chan Distinguished Visitor in Residence Program in Chinese Studies.
