Occidental’s Asian Pacific American Artists on Display

By various Occidental student artists

In honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month at Occidental, this mixed media exhibition features the work of student artists and Occidental. This exhibit celebrates the accomplishments of Asian Pacific Americans and calls attention to the different aspects and expectations of what it means to be of Asian or Pacific Islander heritage. Through the diverse mediums and the themes of each individual piece, the artists have expressed themselves and created a narrative of Asian Pacific American student artists at Occidental. The exhibit also features five pieces created by middle schoolers in Chinatown from Occidental’s Asian American Tutorial Project.
