Paris is Burning Movie Screening

We will be showing the film and then having an informal discussion following as a way to casually discuss trans* members as a part of LGBTQ History Month and Coming Out Week and relate it to Oxy.

Paris Is Burning is a 1990 documentary film directed by Jennie Livingston. Filmed in the mid-to-late 1980s, it chronicles the ball culture of New York City and the African-American, Latino, gay and transgender communities involved in it. By showing this film, the CGE hopes to spark thought and conversation about gender identity as it relates to class and race.
