Author of the critically acclaimed The Amado Women, Zamorano brings her passion for creativity to college, middle and elementary school students. As Director of Occidental's Community Literacy Center she is dedicated to the joy of it all: making the center a welcoming environment where meaning, action, and connection come together. She aspires to integrate technology, the arts and critical literacy with all of the students.
Recently the Visions and Communications chair of the California Council on Teacher Education, she is a former elected board member of both CCTE and the Independent California Colleges and Universities of California on Education of Teachers.
