2011/12 Library Break Hours extended thanks to student feedback

After receiving advice from students this spring semester, we are extending the Library's break hours per the chart below for academic year 2011/12. The net effect is that the Library will be open several hours later on holiday weekends and during the weeknights of spring break. We hope this change meets the needs of those, especially seniors working on Comps, who prefer to work in the Library. Staff will monitor the building during these hours so that we can gather data about use patterns.

Mon	Open 10a-24hrs
M-F during fall/spring break	Close 5pm

Mon	No change—open 10a-24hrs

Holiday changes in red, effective Fall 2011

Labor Day wkend:  Sep 2-5 fri / sat / sun / mon

Fall break: Oct 14-18 fri / sat / sun / mon / tue regular 8a-24hrs

Thanksgiving:  Nov 26-27 sat / sun open regular 10a-24hrs

Presidents wkend:  Feb 17-20 fri / sat / sun / mon

Spring break:  Mar 9, 12-18 1st fri / mon-fri / 2nd sat / 2nd sun open regular 10a-24hrs
