2x upgrade

ITS will be upgrading the 2x Remote Access system on March 15. This service is mostly used for connecting to Oxy campus PCs from home and for Banner usage. We will be jumping all the way from 2x 5 to 9 which includes enhanced support for mobile platforms like iOS and Android, multiple monitor support for desktop clients, and a myriad assortment of bug fixes. During the upgrade progress you will notice a few messages and popups. This post outlines what you should expect. Upon login your install of 2x will be detected and the upgrade process will begin automatically:
Upon successful completion of the 2x 9 client you will be prompted to enter your Oxynet credentials:
If you're not a Banner user you'll just get the 2x applications list.
For Banner users, once you have put in your username and password, Banner will automatically launch. You may get a Java security warning:
Feel free to leave the "Always trust content from this publisher" checked and click Run. You won't see this security warning again until further 2x or Banner upgrades are done.
You'll now be prompted for your Oracle credentials and can start working in Banner:
