Do you love or hate conversation view for Gmail?
October 6, 2011
When Gmail debuted on April 1st, 2004, one of its most controversial features was conversation view. Depending on who you talked to, people either hated it or... well, supposedly there were some folks who loved it but not enough to publish their thoughts about it. For the haters, Google finally relented last September and provided an option to turn it off. But supposing you like conversation view and want to add it to, say, Microsoft Outlook? More on that after the break Interestingly enough, Google didn't invent Conversation View. It was available in Outlook at least as far back as 2003, although you had to jump through some hoops to get it. Outlook 2007 added an option to arrange messages by conversation (one of many) but unlike Gmail, it wouldn't include messages you sent in that conversation. As of Outlook 2010, though, a Gmail-equivalent conversation view is now available. Oh, you didn't know you could use Outlook with Oxyconnect? The software you need is one download away.
