After 25 years of equity and excellence, the ICC has updated its Mission and Goals to meet the needs of an ever-evolving campus.
The Intercultural Community Center is a co-curricular programming office committed to engaging students around issues of equity and social justice. With an emphasis on students of color and first generation college students, the ICC delivers educational programming, resources, and student services which empower students to succeed at the highest level. The ICC works with all members of the Occidental community to ensure that both programming and policy are resulting in a campus climate which embodies inclusive excellence.
Goal 1- To create educational programming which will support students while challenging them to work for social change both on and off campus.
Goal 2- To provide a safe space, resources, and professional direction to all students engaging in issues of social justice and diversity.
Goal 3- To provide students of color and first generation college students with services designed to impact retention and participation in high impact practices.
