After 25 years of equity and excellence, the ICC has updated its Mission and Goals to meet the needs of an ever-evolving campus.
The Intercultural Community Center is a co-curricular programming, training, and research office committed to engaging students around issues of equity and social justice. ICC delivers educational programming, resources, and student services which empower students to succeed at their fullest potential. The ICC works with all members of the Occidental community to ensure that both programming and policy are resulting in a campus climate which embodies inclusive excellence.
Goal 1- To create intersectional educational programming which will affirm students while challenging them to work for social change both on and off campus.
Goal 2- To provide a safe space, resources, and professional direction to all students engaging in issues of social justice and diversity.
Goal 3-To uplift and empower students of marginalized and intersecting identities.
Goal 4- To provide students of marginalized and intersecting identities with services designed to impact retention and participation in high impact practicies.
