Information for Graduating Seniors
We know your email and files are very important to you, and we want to make sure you are able to save your data before you turn your attention to bigger and better things. We’ll be happy to help you through the process in any way we can, so please don’t hesitate to contact us at helpdesk@oxy.edu or 323-259-2880.
Graduates: Please be aware that at NOON on Monday, JULY 1, 2013, your email and files will be deleted from Oxy's servers. We've included links to instructions below. Please be sure to download anything that you want to keep beforehand.
Transfer your email
Instructions are available here for a Gmail-to-Gmail transfer, and use the settings detailed on this page. Whenever the instructions ask you to enter your current username, use your full Oxy email address. Please be aware that this method does not import your labels. If you want to include your labels, follow these directions instead.
Download your Oxyconnect docs
Your docs will go away when your account is deleted, so just sharing them across to your new account won't work. These instructions will help you download all of your Oxyconnect docs.

These instructions will help you download your Oxyconnect contacts.
Transfer your files from your G drive
Please be aware that your network files will no longer be available after the cut-off date, and they cannot be restored after the cut-off date. Read more about how to access your files from off-campus.
Set up Alumni forwarding
Oxy provides email forwarding services for alumni. This means that even though you won't have a mailbox on Oxy's servers any longer, any email sent to your "@oxy.edu" email address will be forwarded on to your preferred email service.
You can set up email forwarding through the Alumni Website. Look for an email that was sent to your inbox, as you'll need information in that email to complete the first-time login to TigerWire. After you log in to TigerWire, complete the email section of your profile to request email forwarding. Note that your email forwarding will begin after your Oxyconnect account has been turned off, and it can take up to two weeks after you have submitted your request for your email forwarding to take effect.
Please note: if you change your personal email address in the future, you'll need to log into the alumni directory to change your forwarding email address so that you continue to receive email sent to your "@oxy.edu" email address. If you have any trouble logging into TigerWire, please contact the Alumni Office at 323-259-2601 or email alumni@oxy.edu.
