Community Partnerships
Our students are out there getting their hands dirty, applying what they learn in the classroom.
Occidental partners with dozens of organizations throughout Los Angeles—in sectors ranging from education to health and medicine, community development to applied science—to make sure students can put their knowledge to practice and give back to the community that has given us so much.
Through internships, volunteer opportunities, and classroom projects, students can participate in and even organize community programs. They work firsthand offering tutoring services, researching urban pollution, developing affordable housing, collaborating with local museums, and much more.
Community-based learning opportunities are ample and varied, giving students plenty of options to explore their academic interests and expand their practical skills, all while strengthening Oxy’s commitment to Los Angeles.
