Line scores and panels and dancers, oh my!

4,886

Panels making up Oxy's $6.8-million, 1-megawatt ground-mounted solar array, which went online in early March after almost four years in the works. With 70 percent of the panels mounted just above the ground on a southwest-facing hillside above Oxy's soccer fields, the array hugs the topography of the slope in a curving design based on a mathematical expression known as a hysteresis loop.

$35,000
Grant from the John Randolph Haynes and Dora Haynes Foundation to form a partnership between the Oxy library, the Eagle Rock Valley Historical Society, and the Highland Park Heritage Trust to preserve the archives of more than a dozen newspapers chronicling northeast Los Angeles, including the Eagle Rock Sentinel and Highland Park News Herald.

Student participants in Dance Production, Oxy's most popular club, which staged its 65th annual show March 22-23.

Innings in what is believed to be the longest game in the 119-year history of Oxy baseball—a 6-hour, 36-minute marathon that ended with the Tigers' 8-5 loss to Rutgers-Newark on March 23. (That's longer than both Dance Pro performances combined that same day.)

5,500,000
Sales to date for the single "Thrift Shop" by Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, who rocked a packed Alumni Gymnasium for Springfest 2013 on March 7. Inclement weather forced the concert inside.
