Cadence/Accidentals
Cadence and the Accidentals are Occidental's premiere a cappella groups.
THE ACCIDENTALS, Occidental College’s all-female a cappella group, and CADENCE, Oxy's all-male a cappella group, are a sensational and rambunctious blend of vocal personality, united by a passion for and commitment to the spirit of the music. From Michael Jackson to Muse to Maroon 5, the Accidentals and Cadence rock the stage. In addition to their extensive vocal range, these singers possess a wide range of academic interests and extracurricular activities. Born of the Occidental Glee Club, Cadence and the Accidentals share a love of choral music, but also bring musical diversity to their repertoire with a more contemporary, popular set. The groups perform at annual Glee Club concerts as well as at various events on campus and in the community.
Auditions for the 2012-2013 school year will be held on Thursday, September 6th from 6:30-9:00 PM.
