National Awards

About Us

The Office of National Awards of Occidental College advises and supports students of all disciplines and interests in pursuing national awards, fellowships, and scholarship opportunities. 

Students usually apply for awards while they are undergraduates although many awards are open to alumni as well.  The awards are prestigious, national, merit-based fellowships and scholarships that are highly sought after and extremely competitive.  These awards provide partial or full scholarships for academic or service oriented projects, living stipends, travel costs and other expenses. 

Occidental College has a strong history of winners of national fellowships and scholarships.  The Office of National Awards, faculty award advisors, and faculty and staff are here to support Oxy students to learn about the awards early in their academic careers and to prepare competitive applications.
