New Richter Opportunities

This year we are happy to present seven new locations: Nepal, Nicaragua, Madagascar, Jordan, Senegal, Serbia, and Vietnam.

In collaboration with our partner for more than a decade,  SIT Study Abroad, we are pleased to introduce a new opportunity for Occidental students. The Richter Research Center Option with established sites and thematic offerings will provide students with additional support and infrastructure including:

  • On-site orientation
  • In-country health and safety support
  • In-country research project advisor
  • Introductions to project related contacts and organizations
  • On-site program center computer lab and library access
  • Housing, meals, and transportation included

Please review the following disciplines and areas of study to find examples of what you can research. Please note that your research project does not necessarily have to coincide with your major. Moreover, this is only a sample of what you can study. If you do not see your specific area of interest listed, or if your area of study isn’t cross-listed with your desired location, please consult with an advisor in the International Programs Office to inquire about other options.
