Partnerships & Opportunities

You're interested in getting involved. Decide if you want to stay local or venture out across the nation or around the world. The opportunities are endless!

Local Opportunities

L.A. Works

L.A. Works is a nonprofit, volunteer action center that creates and implements hands-on community service projects throughout the greater Los Angeles area. They strive to empower Angelenos to address pressing social issues through volunteerism and community collaborations. L.A. Works' programming is designed to impact two different but equally important constituencies - the volunteers who provide hands-on service to their communities, and the individuals (and environment or animals) who benefit from this support.

Volunteer Center of Los Angeles (VCLA)
VCLA changes lives and communities by connecting volunteers with community needs to make Los Angeles a safer, greener, healthier, happier, more hopeful place to live. VCLA refers volunteers of all ages to nonprofit, public and governmental organizations to provide assistance with the delivery of important services that support community needs. They aim to be LA's premiere resource on all aspects of volunteerism, serving diverse individuals and families interested in volunteering, corporations seeking to increase workplace volunteerism, and public and nonprofit agencies that need help from volunteers.

Volunteer United LA
United Way of Greater Los Angeles is bringing people together to fight poverty across L.A. County and improve the quality of life for everyone in our communities. Our work is exposing a side of Los Angeles that most people don't know about. United Way of Greater Los Angeles is providing expert research on our dynamic community, identifying challenges and creating a plan for change. This organization is committed to driving change through partnerships, bringing the right people to the table from public, private and non-profit sectors to create effective and stronger solutions. United Way of Greater Los Angeles is changing the systems that keep people in poverty by advocating for improvements in public policy at the local and national level and are investing in programs that are focused on results, partnering with 170 of the highest performing nonprofits from across the county to achieve the goals laid out in our poverty plan.

State Opportunities

California Volunteers
California Volunteers is the state office that manages programs and initiatives aimed at increasing the number of Californians engaged in service and volunteering. California Volunteers developed and maintains the largest online statewide volunteer matching network in the nation on California Volunteers.org. Today there are more than 50,000 volunteer opportunities available throughout the state involving the arts, education, environment and other areas of interest. Their hope is that they can continue to share best practices and resources, and collaborate with various partners on new ideas that will continue to push the service and volunteering movement forward!
